How To Get Tighter Abs

Monday, August 27th, 2007

Want to know how to get how to get tighter abs? Is that not the
dream of everyone that watches tv or movies or even just reading
magazines and the billboards we see next to the highway on the
way to work. You now want those tight abs you saw on that model
or that celebrity in the movie.

If only it was as easy as just wanting rock hard abs, we would all
be walking around in tank tops showing off our perfect abs. when
you look further into the world of abs and the different exercises
available you slowly begin to realize that this is going to take
much more effort than you thought it was, maybe it was not such
a brilliant idea after all.

Only the dedicated will ever succeed and enjoy the benefits of
abs. Ofcourse they are those people who a naturally gifted and do
not have to do anything to get ripped abs. It really gets to me
because I work my abs and they still will not come out. Why can’t
life be fair, just for the sake of my nice six pack?

So what are the different ways you can get tighter abs?

Well, there’s the famous crunch exercises that everyone and their
mummy seem to be doing. Some people do 200 of these in a day or
even more. This is not something I fancy, I prefer the breathing
exercises I recently discovered. I have not seen much change in
the appearance of my abs, but whenever I do the exercise I really
do feel it in my mid section, the area where my 6 pack is supposed
to be.

Nowadays, there’s much hype over different ab diets and hence the
success of the ab diet series of books. You can get yourself a copy
of from Amazon, if you want to try this. There’s also the different
equipment you can use such as the ab wheel, ab cruncher and there’s
this new gadget I heard about recently called the inverted ab crunch
machine.

As you can see there are so many different ways you can use to get
tighter abs.
It’s your choice depending on how dedicated you really
are to getting that 8 pack. Also some methods may work better for
you than others, so try as many as you can see and see what works
for you, what you are more comfortable with and gets you the results
you seek.

Free Diet Plans To Get Ripped Abs

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

In the late 90’s it was all about ab machines and
ab routines
to help you get a six pack. Now in
the late 2000’s it seems we are turning more to
diets to get those ripped abs.

Why is there this sudden change in behaviour? I would
say it’s mainly because people have started to see
that the ab machines and the different exercises
don’t seem to work the wonders they have been advertised
to work. People have bought all the gadgets and all
the abs exercise routines and DVDs, and there does not
seem to be many changes in the way their six pack
has developed.

Now the “nutritionists” are now advocating the wonders
of the “Abs Diets”. Their arguement is that the exercises
alone and the machines alone are not sufficient, thats
why they don’t seem to work. In order to get the
ripped six pack abs you need to eat right too. So that’s
how the importance of your diet has come into play as
far as your ab workouts and your ab exercises are
concerned.

Due to the fact that this approach is pretty new, most
of the resources available do cost money. But we live
in the age of free information, thanks to the internet
people have gotten used to being able to get free
information on almost anything you need. People are now
searching for free diet plans to get ripped abs.

So can you rely on this free information? Usually free
information is concise and straight to the point. It is
written to entice you to buy a certain product in most
cases. The author gives you enough to get you interested
but not enough for you to really get what you really,
really need.

I personally would not rely on the free information,
it maybe sufficient to get you started, but to really get
you going you are going to have to invest in some real
good expert information. Forget the free diet plans to
get
ripped abs, purchase reliable information or get
yourself a personal trainer to develop an abs diet for you.

How Many Crunches To Get Nice Abs?

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

That is actually a very good question, how many crunches
does one need to do to get nice abs?
I can almost guarantee
you that when people ask this question they are looking
for an answer with the least number of required to get
that much coverted six pack.

So I went on my little internet research adventure to
try and find out the optimum number of crunches that were
required for the 6 pack to start showing. What I discovered
may shock you, but I shall reveal all to you anyway.

Apparently, it is not about how many crunches you should
do
it is more about how many your body can do. You should
never force a workout on your body if it is aching, always
allow it to recover. Do as many crunches as you can until
your ab muscles start to hurt you, then stop and allow
them to recover before you work on them again.

I personally think this is a better way to approach
the crunch work out. Because in reality you will find that
even if I had stated a number like do 100 crunches, some
people will be able to do 100 crunches, some people
will find it difficult to even do half of that.

It would just discourage you to continue your workout if
you could not do the stated number of crunches even after
trying very hard to reach the do the “required” crunches.

Another important point, I think I should mention is, in
addition to your crunches you have to do a lot of cardio
to reduce your body fat index,
otherwise your six pack abs
will never show, no matter how many crunches you can do.

So there you have it, I sincerely hope I have answered your
question how many crunches to nice abs with valuable information
you can use. Feel free to leave your comments below.

How To Get Ripped Abs - 11 Tips To Ripped Abs

Saturday, August 11th, 2007

 by Timothy Adams

Everybody seems to want to know how to get ripped abs. I’ve found that most people believe that getting ripped, protruding abs involves doing hundreds of stomach crunches and situps frequently. They believe that doing so will burn fat off of their stomach area, exposing their abs.

I used to believe this same thing, and it was getting me nowhere. After some research and trial and error experimentation, I discovered the truth about how to get ripped abs.

First off, you will never have visible, six-pack abs if you have a layer of fat covering your abdominal area. To get ripped abs, your primary goal should be fat loss. Even if you have an incredibly strong core of abdominal muscles, if it is covered by fat you will never see them. This idea is key in order to understand how to get ripped abs.

Second, the idea that doing countless stomach crunches to burn fat is a myth. You cannot spot-reduce fat from a single area of your body by targeting it. Body fat is lost evenly across your body when you combine a solid exercise and nutritional program. I make sure I strongly emphasize this idea when telling people how to get ripped abs, because so many believe that stomach fat is lost through abdominal crunches and situps. Not true!

In order to be able to start seeing your abs, you must lose body fat. This is accomplished through strict nutrition and a consistent exercise regimen.

Because everybody is different, no single nutritional program will work for everyone, but in order to get ripped abs keep a few things in mind:

1. Eat every 2-3 hours

2. Eat around 1 gram of lean protein per pound of body weight with every meal. Lean proteins include, but are not limited to: tuna fish, low/nonfat dairy products, chicken breast, whey protein powder, shrimp and other fish, etc.

3. Drink 16-20 ounces or more of water with every meal.

4. If you are sensitive to fat gain, you are most likely carbohydrate-sensitive. This does NOT mean you should remove carbohydrates from your diet, but rather limit them to a lower percentage of daily intake, and eat less of them at later hours of the evening.

5. Eat lots of vegetables.

6. Limited saturated fats and avoid trans fats at all costs.

7. Determine your basal metabolic rate and consume less calories than you burn.

Nutrition is an extremely vital aspect of understanding how to get ripped abs. However, it is not the only aspect. Weight training and cardiovascular exercise also play a big role in getting ripped abs. Here are a few tips:

1. To lose fat efficiently without losing muscle mass, choose high intensity cardio over long duration cardio. This will enable you to shed fat while retaining your ab muscles (and every other muscle for that matter), a huge factor in understanding how to get ripped abs !

2. Perform high intensity cardio at least 3 times per week. If you hit a fat loss plateau, experiment with increasing the duration and/or intensity of your sessions or adding another session.

3. Targeted abdominal exercises should be performed 2-3 times per week at the most. Other compound exercises, such as barbell squats and deadlifts, work the abdominal region as well, so keep this in mind before making the mistake of doing ab crunches every day.

4. There are hundreds of ab exercises. I’ve found that decline situps and decline crunches work particularly well in developing the abdominal region, especially once you start adding weight. Simple floor crunches are also very effective for the beginner.

Put these ideas into action including a good nutrition and exercise routine and you will see results!

Breathing Exercise For Abs

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007

The first time I heard that there were breathing exercises for abs
I was a little bit skeptical. I mean come on, we have always been
told that if you want to get great ripped abs, you have to sweat it
out with the crunches, the ab lounges and the ab wheels.

So I did what I do best, which is research on the internet to find
out more information on this type of abs exercise. I wanted to know
what it was all about and how it worked, so that I could really
believe that if I tried this, it could work for me.

I found this ebook for $7.00 that was written on the whole subject
and detailed how this type of exercise has been practiced for
years going all the way back to the 1930’s. But it was after I
saw the pictures, they were in black and white of a guy who used
breathing exercises to get ripped abs, I was really intriuged.

This short ebook also had 4 exercises I could adopt and start
my own breathing abs exercises. The funny thing is that these
exercise are not as painful as the traditional abs exercises we
have been taught. They also target the right ab muscles, you can
feel it in your abs muscles after you perform the exercices.

.

Here’s my best out of the four breathing exercises:

1. Stand up with both hands bent backwards and holding on
to your but.

2. Now take a deep breath in starting from your lower abs
and hold it when you can’t breath in any longer. Hold that
for 7 seconds.

3. Exhale slowly, but at the same time never let the ab muscles
fully relax.

You can repeat this 10 times per work out, go slowly. The breathing
in and out sometimes makes my head feel a little dizzy, so it is
very important to take it slow, and take breaks to keep yourself
grounded at all times.

After you have successfully completed the 10 repetitions of the
abs breathing exercise, you should feel your abs a little heavy
that tells you that you did the exercises the proper way.

If you would like to find out more about the breathing exercises
you can grab yourself a copy of the ebook I got.

It’s available for immediate download.

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

Often you hear many fitness instructors tell you to eat
healthy when you are trying to lose weight in addition
to the workout you are already doing. When it comes to
working out your abs, the abs diet cookbook is your
best option to help you eat the right foods to help you
burn the fat that hides your ab muscles.

However, the idea of eating healthy whilst working out
your abs seems foreign to many people who seek having
ripped abs. But if you think of it, it really does
make a lot of sense, you would not try clean your car
without using some sort of detergent. Ofcourse you can
do that if you wanted, but it would definetely take you
longer than it would if you just introduced some detergent.

Ok, now that we have determined that you do need to
watch what you eat inorder to speed up your progress.
The next step is to develop or find a plan you can
follow to help you eat healthy and compliment all the
hard work you do with your abs workouts.

The Abs Diet Cook Book, has been used by many as a
way to plan their meals whilst working on their abs.
It was written by David Zinczenko, the editor-in-chief
of Men’s Helath magazine,
who has now become one of
America’s leading experts on health and fitness.

The key factor in the abs cookbook’s success is
the detailed meal plans.
These are made up off healthy,

what has now been termed the Abs Diet 12 Powerfoods.

The Abs Diet 6-Minute Meals for 6-Pack Abs: More Than

.

This is definetely not a cookbook for entertaining your
party guests or preparing meals for a potluck at work.
The abs recipes aren’t fancy and are not meant to be for
people who are not dedicated to living healthy for their abs.

Following the success of the abs diet cookbook, the authors
have since added more books to the series, targeting specifics
demographics e.g. The Abs Diet for Women, The Abs Diet Get
Fit Stay Fit Plan and the The Abs Diet Eat Right Every Time Guide.
