If you want to perform at your best stock your cupboards with these powerfoods to perform at your best and slim down if you are a women or get ripped if you are a man.

1. Avocados: This is a healthy fat food that will help you keep your muscles and joints strong. If you follow a very low fat diet you are more prone to injury. If you are injured you can’t exercise and also tend to overeat. Not the ideal abs diet you want to be following. Eat this healthy fat which by the way also helps lower cholesterol to keep your body strong.

2. Berries: Do you want to fight off disease and repair your body at an very fast rate? Including berries into your abs diet will help you fight off disease. The USDA recently placed berries as one of the top 20 foods richest in antioxidants. Free radical damage and inflammation are believed to contribute to diseases in the body and antioxidants help protect your body from these things. Choose berries with a deep color for the highest potency of antioxidants.

3. Low Fat Cottage Cheese: This powerfood packs 14gms of protein per half a cup. Protein releases a hormone called leptin which helps control hunger and provide fullness. It also increases your metabolism because your body requires more calories to be used in the digestion of protein than it does other nutrients.

Best Diet To Get Six Pack Abs

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

A nice body is something that the majority of people on the planet would like to achieve, however people simply just do not know the best way to achieve that. Getting that perfect body does not just come from one specific action, it comes from a combination of a few different steps so that you can achieve it.

You need to train your whole body, and have a healthy diet so that you are able to reduce the amount of fat that is on your body so that your abdominals become visible. Remember everybody has abdominals however your abdominals are just covered with different layers of fat.

If you think about it, you will realize that it is just simply not possible to wake up one morning and say to yourself that you would like to have a lean, fat free stomach and that you can achieve this by some easy method like starving yourself or eating a whole bunch of junk food then exercising for 10 minutes a day.

Your goal can be to see a great change in your stomach and to get abs however the correct actions to attain a six-pack must be made. Doing daily cardio and eating 5 small meals a day will work out a lot better for you than taking fat burning pills. Start eating the right foods.

Foods that will get your metabolism going so it can burn off calories and give you more energy is the best way to go. Avoid eating carbohydrates and foods with starch in them. Start eating fish that’s healthy and also built up the amount of protein that is in your body. Drink natural juices like apple juice, orange juice and even water will help you stay trim. Do all these things for a few weeks consistently and you will see great results.

Free Diet Plans To Get Ripped Abs

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

In the late 90’s it was all about ab machines and
ab routines
to help you get a six pack. Now in
the late 2000’s it seems we are turning more to
diets to get those ripped abs.

Why is there this sudden change in behaviour? I would
say it’s mainly because people have started to see
that the ab machines and the different exercises
don’t seem to work the wonders they have been advertised
to work. People have bought all the gadgets and all
the abs exercise routines and DVDs, and there does not
seem to be many changes in the way their six pack
has developed.

Now the “nutritionists” are now advocating the wonders
of the “Abs Diets”. Their arguement is that the exercises
alone and the machines alone are not sufficient, thats
why they don’t seem to work. In order to get the
ripped six pack abs you need to eat right too. So that’s
how the importance of your diet has come into play as
far as your ab workouts and your ab exercises are
concerned.

Due to the fact that this approach is pretty new, most
of the resources available do cost money. But we live
in the age of free information, thanks to the internet
people have gotten used to being able to get free
information on almost anything you need. People are now
searching for free diet plans to get ripped abs.

So can you rely on this free information? Usually free
information is concise and straight to the point. It is
written to entice you to buy a certain product in most
cases. The author gives you enough to get you interested
but not enough for you to really get what you really,
really need.

I personally would not rely on the free information,
it maybe sufficient to get you started, but to really get
you going you are going to have to invest in some real
good expert information. Forget the free diet plans to
get
ripped abs, purchase reliable information or get
yourself a personal trainer to develop an abs diet for you.

Abs Diet Cookbook

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

Often you hear many fitness instructors tell you to eat
healthy when you are trying to lose weight in addition
to the workout you are already doing. When it comes to
working out your abs, the abs diet cookbook is your
best option to help you eat the right foods to help you
burn the fat that hides your ab muscles.

However, the idea of eating healthy whilst working out
your abs seems foreign to many people who seek having
ripped abs. But if you think of it, it really does
make a lot of sense, you would not try clean your car
without using some sort of detergent. Ofcourse you can
do that if you wanted, but it would definetely take you
longer than it would if you just introduced some detergent.

Ok, now that we have determined that you do need to
watch what you eat inorder to speed up your progress.
The next step is to develop or find a plan you can
follow to help you eat healthy and compliment all the
hard work you do with your abs workouts.

The Abs Diet Cook Book, has been used by many as a
way to plan their meals whilst working on their abs.
It was written by David Zinczenko, the editor-in-chief
of Men’s Helath magazine,
who has now become one of
America’s leading experts on health and fitness.

The key factor in the abs cookbook’s success is
the detailed meal plans.
These are made up off healthy,
great-tasting, delicious and easy recipes that feature
what has now been termed the Abs Diet 12 Powerfoods.

The Abs Diet 6-Minute Meals for 6-Pack Abs: More Than
150 Great-Tasting Recipes to Melt Away Fat! (Hardcover)

.

This is definetely not a cookbook for entertaining your
party guests or preparing meals for a potluck at work.
The abs recipes aren’t fancy and are not meant to be for
people who are not dedicated to living healthy for their abs.

Following the success of the abs diet cookbook, the authors
have since added more books to the series, targeting specifics
demographics e.g. The Abs Diet for Women, The Abs Diet Get
Fit Stay Fit Plan and the The Abs Diet Eat Right Every Time Guide.
